1. Phil Boutique hotel is located at the end of soi sansabai within 15 minutes walking distance to Patong Beach and 5 minutes to Bangla road. The fresh market and tiger boxing stadium as well as jungceylon shopping center can be reached in 3 minutes. Restaurants and the Chang Pool Table Club are right next to it.
The hotel is a small operation in a new building complex that houses many hotels. Apparently al of them suffer more or less the same deficiencies. Rooms facing soi sansabai are loud from music and walking visitors to Bangla Road, the noise subsides only in the early morning hours slightly. There was no shower curtain so taking a shower usually meant setting the small bathroom under water. The drainage of the shower didnt work in the first room and there was no barrier between the shower area and the rest of the bathroom so that the water usually gathered quickly and almost ran into the bedroom. This problem was known to the reception and was answered with a "that affects all hotels in this area". During the first day the water stopped running two times; no shower, no toilet flush, no water from the tap. Even though it was supposedly fixed, it happened again over night. Besides that the TV failed at some point, at least there was no reception of any programmes.
The rooms made a slightly dirty impression. Some smashed insects stuck to the tiles of the bathroom. The walls at the side of the bed were dirty from shoe soles or other rubbing. The bed cover had a big dirt stain as had the pillows. The reception smelled of fish upon arrival the first day, and the air condition usually sucked in air from an area outside were kitchen exhausts gathered. Overall, it seem like the owners put all money in the acquisition of the hotel and have to cut corners to keep it running. The front office personnel is thus not well-trained and all the cleaning needs to be done by one elderly lady who gives it her best. Price was elevated, rooms were rather small.

3. Stayed for 5 nights . Only 2 minutes from Bangla Road,so no need to hire tuk-tuk after a night out. The only problem is that they share the swimming pool with other hotels and the pool is never been cleaned, so not usable for swimming. But they can get you coupons for use of a roof top pool in the hotel next to it.
